Corinne Bullick, RMT
Training and Professional Background Corinne Bullick graduated in 2002 from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in British Colombia, Canada. Having completed their 3-year, 3000-hour curriculum, the highest level of training in North America, she is trained extensively in not only all aspects of massage therapy, but also complete human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy and general pharmacology. Her massage therapy training covered all treatments available for any injury, condition, disease or syndrome, from sports injury rehabilitation to pre or postnatal massage to palliative care for terminal illness. Corinne has worked in a variety of different environments from a luxury day spa to a multidisciplinary clinic working alongside chiropractors, physical therapists, personal trainers and fellow massage therapists. Style Although Corinne does not have a particular specialization, she is known for her deep tissue therapy and has extensive experience in sports related injuries having worked with triathletes, marathon runners and professional hockey and football players. Client Feedback: “Corinne rocks in every way! I’ve been getting massage for over 20 years and she has a great touch, excellent energy and connection. Just right.” “She says she does deep tissue massage upon request, and she really DOES deep tissue massage.” “She’s very consistent in working deeply, but she can be more gentle when needed.” "Corinne is a phenomenal healer who makes my work week bearable. She listens well and has a natural knack for finding what needs work in my body; she knows just where to go within a few minutes. I've tried at least ten massage therapists in town and have chosen to stay with Corinne." |

Victoria Dance, MA, LMT Education and Professional Background Throughout the years, she has served a wide range of clients’ needs, from those who have chronic conditions and appreciate a gentle, soothing treatment to increase blood or lymph flow, to the patients who have very specific medical needs and require the wide range of manual therapy skills she can apply. For the last 2 ½ years she has enjoyed integrating her skills and experience in providing medically outcome-based soft tissue therapy to patients at SE Medical. She has been particularly helpful to patients who were diagnosed with cervicalgia, temporomandibular strain, whiplash thoracic outlet syndrome, sinusitus, plantar fasciitis, migraine headaches, carpal tunnel symptoms, piriformis syndrome (often referred to as sciatica) and fibromyalgia. Her goal is always to relieve the pain, which patients describe, while addressing the cause of the pain, which she often calls “the secret culprit”. Style Although Tori has participated in a number of trainings, she finds she most often uses Advanced Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hakomi, Reflexology, Neurostructural Integration Technique (a form of Bowen Therapy) and Tui Na (Chinese trigger point therapy). Most recently, Tori has been training in HeartMath, a type of biofeedback she incorporates for stress relief and resilience training. HeartMath is a biofeedback program based on improving heart rate variability (HRV) and was introduced to Juneau at the Cancer Connection’s 2009 Health Forum by keynote speaker, Dr. Astrid Pujari. The American Journal of Cardiology, Stress Medicine, and Journal of Advancement in Medicine have published articles on the effectiveness of HeartMath biofeedback training to reduce the effects of stress on the body and mind. Tori has applied the research and technique to enhance the effects of the massage and manual therapies she provides. Tori treats the whole person. She wants people to be able to integrate the improvements they achieve during a session into their lives outside of the treatment room.
“She has a lot of energy. She was completely present and focused during our session. During sessions, she conveys that she is genuinely concerned about me and my life.” “She really, really listens. She’s very gentle, but firm when needed. Her style is holistic—she works with the whole person and knows what to do. She can do all the different styles of massage. She’s great about getting me out of my head and into my body.” “She’s got the most different and interesting touch of any massage therapist I’ve ever experienced in the world.” “Tori is the best. She tries different things and communicates well.” |

In addition to the musculoskeletal benefit and reduction of muscle tension on specific parts of the body, this type of massage is known for its flushing properties and general health benefits. Client Feedback “I had a series of massages [with Gail] at Southeast Medical Clinic over a period of three months. With this treatment, I experienced a significant decrease of pain in my R hip caused by fasciitis. When I began massage therapy, I had limited range of motion in my R hand due to fascial constriction; with massage I have significantly improved mobility in my hand and can now fully extend my fingers. In addition to these specific benefits, I have noticed an improvement in my posture, my mental health, and even in my golf game!” --Juneau Physician “I leave our sessions feeling completely relaxed and also listened to; Gail pays attention to what I need.” “Gail made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She explained the details of how the massage techniques should affect my injury. I was much improved on the first visit and working with her continues to keep me in good health.” “I followed Gail to SMC from another clinic because she’s so good.” “My issue has completely resolved by working with Gail, whereas it has been plaguing me for a long time even with treatment from therapists elsewhere.” |
